This two-week Medicine summer course run by Oxford Royale Academy in Oxford gives 16-18 year olds an in-depth, hands-on introduction to medicine and clinical practice. Through expert-led seminars, practical clinical skills workshops and OSCE-style simulations, students develop practical abilities such as history taking, suturing and physical examination while studying key medical sciences including anatomy, physiology, genetics and immunology.
Participants engage in case-based learning and real-world projects: analysing diseases, designing healthcare innovations and preparing a professional medical research poster to present at the Curing the Future Medical Conference. The programme combines 20 hours of teaching per week (UK campuses) with enrichment activities, excursions (including a trip to London) and social events; accommodation and meals are provided in actual colleges of the University of Oxford.
The course is suitable for students considering medicine or related health careers and aims to build clinical skills, research experience and a clearer understanding of life as a medical student. Start dates run across June-August 2026 (start dates for 2026 TBD - join the waitlist) and further details and booking are available via the official Oxford Royale website.
